If you don’t remember, a few weeks back we had ADORABLE little Draco in the studio with Save Our Scruff! Save Our Scruff is a brand new organization based out of Toronto, created by Laura Bye. Save Our Scruff focuses on rescuing and rehoming dogs in need into loving homes here in Toronto and the GTA.

Another cutie has made her way from Quebec! This adorable pup named ELLIE is a dachshund mix! Although she looks like a puppy, she’s actually 7! She’s very well mannered and is good with cats, dogs and kids. She really just wants to be someone’s lap dog! She’s spayed and utd on shots. She is up for ADOPTION!

SCOOBY (left) & ELSA (right) are looking for forever homes!

SCOOBY is a new arrival from the Dominican. She is a street mutt and is under a year old. She is a really great dog and will make a wonderful companion for the right person! She’s timid around new people and new dogs but warms up quickly and is a total snuggle bug when she gets comfortable. She’s so calm inside but really enjoys her walks where she loves to stare at squirrels. She just needs someone who is patient and will not get angry when she has an accident, and can help her come out of her shell and be more confident. She’s the sweetest dog ever and loves to be pet and pampered.

ELSA is up for ADOPTION. She is very friendly but also timid and shy. She needs reassurance that she’s doing what she is supposed to as being a house dog is all new to her! As of now, she is following her foster around the house and likes to stay near her because she’s the only thing she knows. Once settled, ELSA should be able to be comfortable enough in her surroundings to be in rooms by herself and be less anxious. She is learning to be housetrained but is in the beginning stages. She will need someone available to let her out to the bathroom as she doesn’t know how to show it and will end up going inside. She is learning how to walk on leash and is improving! She is NOT to be off leash as she hasn’t become comfortable enough to do things she knows are good vs. doing things out of fear (E.g. running away when you go after her). She is eager to please and this is beneficial to her training! It’s important we get her in a forever home quickly so she can learn the routines/rules while she is adjusting. She is good with cats and and small dogs of lower energy since she is easily frightened. ELSA is a gorgeous dog but please look into matching her personality when considering your home suitable for her.

TURTLE is a super cute beagle collie mix at the tender age of 3. At heart though, she is an old sole. She recently landed in Toronto from the Dominican and is now on the hunt for a forever home. She is super quiet, calm and is honestly just the chillest dog ever. She’s housetrained and friendly with everything. For everyone out there looking for an easy dog, here she is!!!

Meet HENRY. He is a gem. He is such a happy guy. Relaxing is one of his favourite things to do, but put him together with other pups and he will play the day away! He is pretty well potty trained; in fact, he’s already learned how to paw at the door to tell to say when he’s ready to go! He also is an incredible listener, and gets super sly when you say ‘No,’ giving you those hard to resist puppy dog eyes. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, he is the one. He has spent time with other dogs and young children and does great with both! He was rescued after being hit by a car, and he has a scar as a result – but it’s in the shape of a wishbone, so we’re hoping that means he’s carrying around good luck! Henry is a looker, has a calm temperament, and a wonderful personality. He’s roughly two, close to medium size now but will grow to approx 35-40 lbs!!

Hi world! I’m MAX & I need a home!! I’m 11-ish months old and I’m a German Sheppard crossed with a bunny rabbit.  I have a ton of energy and haven’t had a lot of structure or training in my previous life. But now that I met the lovely people at Save Our Scruff, I have a whole new life to look forward to!

SHEENA the shepherd/corgi mix is adjusting well to foster care. Here she lies with foster brother Maxwell (pictured right). SHEENA was terrified when first rescued but is now a complete doll. She is a total sweetheart– crate savy, clean, nondestructive and dog social. She will need and deserves lots of love. She is quite playful when she;s comfortable and does like to sing a bit too! She’s a very interesting mix.. smaller in real life as she is stunted. She is very tame and well behaved. She is great with kids and walks well on a leash! She is roughly two, spayed, and utd on all shots.

FINLEY is on the search for his forever home! He is a happy go lucky young boy. He loves people (including kids) and all dogs. He also loves to play fetch and is getting much better at dropping the ball so you can throw it again. He has recently shown signs of resource guarding and therefore will need someone willing to correct this! He loves to go for walks, is about a year and is a mix breed. He is also utd on shots and neutered. He is a complete cuddle bug and enjoys nothing more that just being loved. If he isn’t getting enough attention he will certainly show it by getting up onto your lap and asking for it! He is being fostered in Toronto if you want to go for a visit or maybe meet him at the dog park!
