The Classic 'Who Dumped Who First?' With Mariah Carey

And for once, this isn’t about Nick Cannon – it’s about her publicist!

TMZ “obtained” a super confidential letter that was only supposed to be passed between two people. The usual. Mariah claims she wrote this letter to her publicist of 15 years, Cindi Berger. It was a breakup note. Get your tissues ready, everyone.

Mariah says, “I’ve done a lot of soul-searching this past year … and I found myself asking if I was truly employing a healthy perspective (not to sound too Oprah about it all :).” And continues with “So I think it’s time for us to take a break Cindi,” saying she wants to “bring a fresh approach to this new phase in my career.” 

This is where it gets funny, this really professionally worded and formatted letter didn’t even get to Cindi, and her office replied to the stories by saying that Cindi ended it with Mariah FIRST. Sources say the letter also includes Mariah offering to put in ad in a magazine honoring Cindi for winning a “Women of Power” award – BUT NOW Mariah’s new publicist, Stella Bulochnikov, thinks Cindi leaked a story backstabbing Mariah…so the ad isn’t happening. Shocking.

Ah, middle-aged Hollywood love. So fragile.
