Another Edition of "Aren't You Glad You Live In Canada???"

40,000 people have signed a petition to have this Slavery Memorial in South Carolina taken down………

Over 40,000 deeply troubled (we are just assuming) people have signed a petition demanding the state of South Carolina to remove the African American Monument they recently built, to be taken down!!! Why you might ask?? This new monument makes white people “feel bad.”

Keith Harmon, the person behind this whole campaign, wrote the petition which basically states that the monument hurts white peoples feelings and that just won’t do!!! Since the confederate flag is being removed from the state house grounds completely due to a recent outcry (a white man holding the flag shot and killed 9 African Americans who were visiting the monument) Harmon, and 40,000 other people are outraged. In a televised interview, Harmon reported that its not necessarily about taking the monument down, but if the confederate flag is removed, then the African American Monument should be removed also.

Okay Harmon, lets talk about this realistically shall we???? People only really starting caring about the flag during the Civil Rights movement. It represents fighting for slavery and African American rights, however, it also represents a bunch of people who are making a big fuss over having to share a bathroom with another race…. AND now I am so happy that I live Canada where people say sorry for bumping into you, drink maple syrup by the gallon, and was a country of refuge for those who were enslaved by peoples ancestors.
