HGTV Host Battling Cancer Meets his Life-Saving Viewer

After spotting suspicious nodules on the neck of Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa’s neck, Ryan saved the co-host’s life by altering him to the impending thyroid cancer via email. This week, the pair had an emotional meeting on the HGTV show.

Tarek El Moussa’s producers received an email from a registered nurse who said she’d noticed a “nodule at the base of his neck”, while watching a “Flip or Flop” marathon. (FACT: Marathoning TV shows can help save lives). (That was not an actual FACT. Just a hopeful wish by Blake Carter).

So after receiving the email and having Tarek get the nodule checked out, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Thankfully the cancer was treated with a surgery, and because of a very special HGTV loving nurse, Tarek’s cancer is in remission.
