London is Getting a Naked Restaurant

No shirts, no shoes, no pants, no underwear, no nothing…No problem. The Bunyadi is a pop up restaurant that’s opening in London and it’ll feature completely nude dining. The Bunyadi is opening in June 2016 and will stay open for about 3 months. The Bunyadi’s website already boasts a wait list of 14,000 people eagerly trying to dine in their birthday suits.

The restaurant will be a throwback to simpler time before electricity, phones, clothes and more. The Bunyadi writes on their website, “Enter a secret Pangea-like world, free from phones, electric lights and even clothing (optional) and revisit the beginning where everything was fresh, free and unadulterated from the trappings of modern life.” No word on if you’ll have to hunt your own food and cook it by campfire.

The Telegraph writes more on the experience of dining at The Bunyadi, “On arrival, customers will be escorted to a changing room, asked to place their clothes and belongings in lockers and given a light gown. It is then up to them whether to remove the final item of clothing at the table. Tables will be partly obscured by bamboo screens, creating a semblance of privacy. Large napkins will presumably be provided to prevent unfortunate burns.”

And don’t forget the naked serving staff! “Naked serving staff will wait on tables, offering a menu which will include grilled meats as well as vegan options, all cooked on a wood fire and served on handmade clay crockery.” The Bunyadi might only be open until someone finds some mysterious hair in their food…
