Woman Arrested for Spending $3.3 Million of Banks Money

One day in 2012, 21-year-old Christine Jiaxin Lee, a chemical engineering student from Malaysia, noticed that there was 4.4 extra million dollars in her bank account. Instead of telling anyone, Lee bought millions of dollars worth of handbags and luxury items.

Australian police caught up with her on May 4th of this year and charged her with, “dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime,” according to opposingviews.com. The police allegedly told her, “ummmm, hey gurl, you can’t do that.”
