Man Was Charged $40 To Hold His Newborn Baby

In September, Ryan Grassley from Utah was charged $39.35 to hold his own baby.

After his wife’s C-Section the nurse asked if he wanted to have skin to skin contact. The hospital then billed the couple for their skin on skin time with their baby.

Ryan Grassley created a GoFundMe page to help him cover the costs of holding his new born baby. On this page he wanted to clear the air about why he posted the bill on reddit saying “To be clear I wasn’t complaining or trying to send people on a witch hunt for the hospital, I posted the bill to Reddit because I thought it was funny. It has been interesting to see the shock from people around the world at the cost of medical expenses in the USA.”

Good news though, he raised $125 which is well over his $39.35 goal!
