Normani Kordei of Fifth Harmony has stepped out on her own and released an incredible cover of Solange Knowles’ single, ‘Cranes in the Sky’ and ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’, (see the video above).

She told USA Today, “I was inspired by Solange’s album, A Seat At The Table, from the moment that I heard it. She has clearly taken the time to create a unique body of work and emote through her music from a true place.”

This isn’t Normani’s first try at some solo work; she released a cover of Tory Lanez’s ‘Say It’ and most recently Drake’s ‘Fake Love’.

She’s also the latest Fifth Harmony member to step out on her own with solo music. Lauren Jauregui recently teamed up with duo Marian Hill on their latest single, ‘Back to Me’.

The ladies entered the new year with one less member as Camila Cabello decided she would leave the group to pursue as solo career; her exit from the group was less than harmonious, read about that HERE.
