Just recently, a passenger on United Airlines was dragged off of a plane leaving Chicago.  Videos of the unfortunate incident have surfaced and have gone hugely viral, leaving those in shock and disgust.  While celebrities (such as Chrissy Teigen and Zendaya) expressed their thoughts via social media, comedians have taken jabs towards United Airlines, including Ellen DeGeneres.

“There was a United Airlines flight in Chicago that was overbooked, and to make room for people, they forcibly removed one of the passengers — did y’all hear about this It’s crazy — they charged him a $50 removal fee.  That’s not true, that’s not true. No, your first forcible removal is free.” #Ouch

Ellen continued, “Everyone on the flight was very upset by this and on top of it all, the in-flight movie was Manchester by the Sea. So it was very depressing, the whole flight — can you imagine?”

And even joked with her audience, telling them that one of them would have to leave.
She obviously didn’t kick anyone out of the audience BUT she did in fact offer some advice to the airline, which cleanly, have been facing A LOT of criticism from many people, “There were a lot of issues here, but I think the biggest problem was the way that United handled it. They had a computer pick a random person and just took them off the plane.  That seems like a bad policy. Here’s a better policy: Don’t overbook your flight.”

And check out what Zendaya had to say via Twitter when it all went down:
