What are you doing at 6am? Probably enjoying breakfast or sleeping right?

For one Toronto woman, she took morning walks to new heights! #CraneGirl took Toronto by storm yesterday, after she scaled a crane at Wellesley Street and got stuck on the pulley system for several hours.

We watched as she dangled from the hook of the crane as Toronto Firefighters worked to safely bring her down.

Today, she faced a judge in court room 102 at Old City Hall…known as the mental health courtroom.

While waiting to get into the courtroom, Damnit Maurie spoke with Marisa’s best friend Sarah, who said she wasn’t shocked by her actions at all!

In fact, Sarah said this is what she always does, “she’s a thrill seeker.”

“She’s awesome. I love her. She’s super adventurous, she’s a cool person,” Sarah said.

Sarah, too, has no idea why her friend made the climb.

“I wasn’t with her, so I can’t speak for her … she’s super-thrill seeking. If she was in B.C. and she had mountains, she’d be climbing those.”

Sarah questioned why her friend was appearing in mental health court, and sounded choked up when considering her friend’s fate. The woman is facing six charges, including mischief and interfering with property.

“She’s not a crazy person, for sure. No, no, no…I’m scared for her. I don’t know how she’s feeling, because this is all so much. I hope she’s O.K. I hope she’s O.K.,” Sarah said.

Marisa was released on $500 bail and ordered to stay away from construction sites and roofs.
