Ed Sheeran hit the Air Canada Centre for two shows this weekend (Friday and Saturday) and prior to the show he met with some of his biggest fans, including Jodi who won our ‘Snap Ed’s Head’ photo contest with this winning entry:

Ed Sheeran Meet & Greet Winner Jodi Chats with Shem About Meeting Ed!

“I just about died”, those were the first words Jodi said when Shem asked her how it was meeting Ed.

So what did she say to Ed?

“I got to be honest I was a little bit in shock and he was low on time, he had an interview after me, however I actually have his lyrics tattooed across my shoulders  and he noticed right away and was like, ‘Are those my lyrics?’ and I was like, ‘Yes they are!’ and then I teared up a little because he noticed and then I got a couple of autographs and I took a picture and as we were leaving he was like, ‘The tattoos on your leg are really awesome!’ and I was like, ‘OH MY GOD Ed Sheeran thinks my tattoos are cool!”

While meeting one of the biggest stars in the world left quite the impression upon Jodi, it was what the experience was like for her 8 year old daughter that really touched her, “I took my 8 year old and she has a lot of sensory issues and a lot of spectrum issues and is super shy and literally just ran up and hugged him and I’ve never ever seen her do that to anyone , including Disney princesses.”

Meeting Ed was a first for Jodi, but she’s had the pleasure of seeing him perform in concert before, more specifically on his Multiply tour stop in Toronto a few years back. This time however, she felt he took things to a completely different level, “I thought the [last time Ed was here] that that was phenomenal but this was even better and I didn’t even know that you could get better than that.”

Not surprisingly, the entire evening will forever remain a memorable one for Jodi, “It was fabulous thank you so much. I am never going to forget this, ever in life.”
