Netflix Might Be Cancelling Your Favourite Show Very Soon

We all know ‘Netflix and Chill,’ but what about ‘Netflix and don’t make money’??? Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

Netflix is set to spend “$13 billion in programming contracts over the next three years.” Which is more than the total revenue that Netflix is expected to make in the first six months of this year. YIKES! That’s a huge chunk of change!

The Toronto Sun quotes Netflix CEO Reed Hastings statement that was released earlier this week regarding the future of Netflix; “Every show has passionate fans and committed talent striving for excellence. Sometimes those shows don’t attract as many viewers as we had hoped, compared to our other content. As much as we dislike ending a series early, it consoles us that it frees up investment for another show, or two.”  

There is a good chance that some of your favourite TV shows could be canceled due to lack of funding OR that the 104 million subscribers worldwide might be charged more per month to keep our favourite TV shows running.
