Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio Recite Lines from ‘Titantic’ to Each Other

The world’s most cherished (platonic) love story just got even cuter. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio (tag) met and fell in adoration with each other on the set of Titanic more than 20 years ago. Their friendship has stood the test of time and now the actress has shared some adorable tidbits about her close bond with her leading man.

Speaking to Glamour magazine, Kate revealed that she and Leo have a shared sense of humour. “You don’t even want to know the last conversation we had, because it was so funny and made me laugh so much. We found ourselves saying to each other, ‘Can you imagine if the world really knew the stupid things we say?’” joked the star.

She continued: “I’m not going to tell you what we actually talk about, but yeah, we’re very, very close and sometimes we do quote the odd Titanic line back and forth to each other, because only we can, and we find it really funny.”

The 41-year-old also reflected on her career and how her life could have turned out had she never pursued acting. “I had a fleeting idea about becoming a hairdresser, but I cut off a friend’s earlobe trying to cut their hair,” the Hollywood A-lister revealed, adding, “I saw him again not too long ago and I was like, ‘I’m so sorry for your earlobe.’ He said, ‘Yeah, you can still see the marks, but I’m proud of that now, Kate!’”

Leo and Kate know better than to keep their friendship hidden from their diehard fans. In July, they auctioned off a private dinner to a lucky bidder at one of the Revenant star’s foundation galas in St. Tropez. The once-in-a-lifetime dinner date will take place this fall in New York.
