Apple Music will release their new documentary series, On The Record: Sam Smith – The Thrill Of It All, on the same day as Sam drops his second studio album, November 3.

According to its press release, “The film will feature interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of Smith reflecting on the success of his Grammy-winning 2014 debut album, In The Lonely Hour, and how its world-wide success affected his life and work.”

The documentary will include stripped-down performances, multiple interviews with Sam and interviews with the albums producers, including Timbaland, Jimmy Napes and Poo Bear.

In the preview Sam says, “I went through, like, this vortex, came out, I feel like I’ve rebuilt myself as a stronger thing and I’m just gonna go into the vortex again.  I wasn’t trying to make a big pop record when I made this album. I was actually just trying to make something personal and like a diary.”

Also, in the documentary, you will see and hear Sam discuss how he feels “just as much woman as I am man” and he will also talk about his ‘female alter-ego named ‘Karamel’.  During the documentary, Sam explains how Karamel is the one who actually sold 24 million albums #HA.
