Nicki Minaj and Jesse Williams Star in H&M's 'A Magical Holiday'

It’s been announced that Nicki Minaj will star in H&M’s upcoming 2017 holiday campaign.

Along with the collection, Nicki will star in the brand’s holiday film, alongside Grey’s Anatomy Jesse Williams.  As of right now, only the official teaser has been released.  H&M explains, “The film focuses on a little girl tracking down the evil brother of Santa Claus in order to save the holidays.”  The new H&M holiday film is directed by Johan Renck and he says that it will have a “modern take on a classic fairytale.”

Nicki says, “I love the film’s overall empowering message. I love seeing this young girl become the champion that lives in all of us.  There’s always magic in the air during the holidays.”  And according to Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s head of design and creative director, “It’s exciting to see our festive designs come to life together with such inspirational talents.  They definitely added some extra magic to the film and we hope that our customers will love how the fashion is presented throughout the holiday season at H&M.”

In May, it was H&M who dressed Nicki for The Met Gala.  They designed a custom gown which included a cascading black-and-red train.  It was there, on the red carpet that Nicki announced that she was working on something special with H&M.  Nicki said, “I have a special collaboration coming out with H&M this fall and so they are dressing me for the night and the nailed it.”

Nicki Minaj currently has two M.A.C lipstick collections and now she can add H&M campaign to her resume.

H&M’s holiday line is available now in stores and online.
