I’ve had the fortune of meeting some of my favourite celebrities and for the most part they were always very kind and considerate – especially This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown, whom I met last year here inside the KiSS 92.5 studios.

But, I also recognize that not all celebrity encounters are as friendly; take Jennifer Lawrence for example.

In a joint interview as part of Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series, Jennifer told fellow actor Adam Sandler,

“Once I enter a public place, I become incredibly rude. I turn into a huge a–hole…That’s my only way of defending myself.”

She added that sometimes when her and comedian Amy Schumer go for walks with their dogs in New York City, they encounter fans who act or expect the two to be their best friends,

“I take my dog to the park all the time, to Central Park. As soon as I meet her in the park, we’re f—ed.”

For his part, Sandler said that he figures to be a little bit more approachable with fans who will sometimes approach him while he’s eating.

He also shared a trick he’s used with fans in the past who ask him for a picture,

“They go, ‘Hey Adam, could I get a picture?’ And I always say, ‘You don’t want that, man.’ And the guy goes, ‘What?’ And I go, ‘You don’t want that.’ And then he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah. I don’t,’”.

It should be stated that I think most of what she said was done so in jest.

What do you think? Should celebrities be obligated to take pictures with their fans?
