With the 2018 VMA’s only a few days away, it was announced that Cardi B will be the opening act that night.

Both Cardi and The Carters are in the lead with 10 nominations each, followed by Drake and Childish Gambino with seven nominations each.

 

A few weeks ago, Cardi B cancelled out on Bruno Mars’ ’24K Magic Tour’ therefore, this will be Cardi’s first live appearance since giving birth to daughter Kulture exactly a month ago.

 

Along with Cardi, other performers include, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Logic, Shawn Mendes and Jennifer Lopez will receive this year’s Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, not to mention she’ll be performing a killer performance (I mean, it’s JLo, c’mon!)

Back in April, after Cardi publicly announced her pregnancy, she explained that she was ready to step back from the spotlight and prepare herself for her new addition.  Cardi explained, “I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.” 

 

I think the fans are so ready to see Cardi live! I know I’ll be watching!!  The 2018 VMAs goes down THIS Monday at 9PM!
