Below is a list of everything happening in Toronto this weekend and what areas to avoid for faster travel.

 

TIFF FESTIVAL STREET

  • When: Sept. 6 – 10

The fourth annual TIFF Festival Street will take over King St. West and will be closed between Spadina Ave. and University Ave., Sept. 6 at 5AM to Step. 10 at 5AM.

ALSO CLOSED: John St. between King St. and Wellington St.

THE TORONTO 5K

  • When: Sept. 8 from 7:30AM to 10:30AM

ROAD CLOSURE: St. Clair Ave. West (going North), Christie St. (going West), Davenport Rd. (going South), Russell Hill Rd and Boulton Dr. (going East).

 

 

THE CABBAGETOWN FESTIVAL 

  • When: Sept. 8 at 6AM to Sept. 9 at 9PM

ROAD CLOSURE: Parliament St. from Gerrard St. East to Wellesley St. East and Carlton St. from Ontario St.

 

 

THE FESTIVAL OF PRAISE

  • When: Sept. 8 from 6AM to 6PM

ROAD CLOSURE: All northbound lanes of Queens Park Cres. between College St. and Bloor St. West.

TASTE OF THE KINGSWAY

  • When: Sept. 7 to Sept. 9

ROAD CLOSURE: From Sept. 7 (noon) to Step. 9 (midnight), Bloor St. West from Prince Edward Dr. North to Montgomery Rd.

 

 

B&O YORKVILLE RUN

  • When: Sept. 9 from 7:30AM to 11:30AM

ROAD CLOSURES: Davenport Rd. (going North), University Ave., Queen’s Park, Avenue Rd. (going West), Dundas St. (West to South) and Bay St. (going East).

 

And of course … we can’t forget about the good ol’ TTC …

 

 

 

TTC SUBWAY CLOSURE

  • When: Sept 8 & 9

NO subway service on Line 1 between Lawrence and St. Clair stations.

NO subway service on Line 2 from St. George to Broadview stations (this will begin Sept. 9 at noon)
