Ariana Grande Reconnects with Her Father on Christmas After Years Apart

And this is exactly what Christmas is all about! During Christmas day, Ariana Grande revealed to her million followers on Instagram that she reconnected with her estranged father, Edward Butera through FaceTime.

Back in 2014, Ariana told Seventeen Magazine, “Falling out of touch with my dad was the toughest thing I ever had to deal with.  It’s private, but it happened last year.  It took me so long to be okay with it.  The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that I am made up of half my dada, and a lot of my traits come from him.  So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn’t like that about myself.  I had to accept that it’s okay not to get along with somebody and still love them.”

Although Ariana doesn’t talk much about her father and their relationship status is not known, she did take the time to show fans love on the gram during the holidays, “Merry Christmas Eve y’all! Sending you all the love and light there is.  Holidays can be super tough sometimes.  Sending an extra hug to those who need one.  Love you always and I am so looking forward to sharing next year with you on the road.  For now, I’m going to stick with these queens who somehow always know how to make sense of it all.  Take care of yourselves.”
