It’s only been a few weeks since Alec Benjamin and Alessia Cara dropped a remixed version of Alec’s ‘Let Me Down Slowly.’  Billboard dishes, “The video brings out the song’s raw vulnerability, flashing through tender moments between various couples in bedrooms, backseats and in public places. Benjamin and Cara narrate the story singing from separate empty rooms, providing a heart-wrenching contrast to the passionate kisses shared by the lovers around them.”

During his interview with Complex, Alex says, “‘For this ‘Let Me Down Slowly’ music video, we really wanted to keep the overall vision simple but also capture the themes of the song through various relationships.  Alessia is an incredible artist and person. It was freezing and rainy on set but we had a great time shooting the video and hope everyone likes it!”

As Complex explains, “Directed by Jared Hogan, the video is kept relatively straightforward and simple but manages to perfectly convey the song’s message of vulnerability. Alec and Alessia are seen singing throughout most of the video with sitting in chairs; their scenes are broken up by shots of different couples in different locations.”
