WATCH: Disney Releases Official Trailer for 'Aladdin' Live-Action Remake

Will Smith, who plays Genie is the upcoming Disney live-action remake, Aladdin is getting fans pumped with the films first official trailer.

Will posted the trailer on his Instagram page with the caption, “I just saw the Finished version of Aladdin!! IT IS FIRE – I AM HYPED!!! I can’t wait for y’all to see it. But, for now… Here’s the full trailer!”

According to PEOPLE, “The trailer for Aladdin gives a longer look at Smith as the Genie, making it clear that he’s just as funny and mischievous as the original voiced by Robin Williams in the 1992 animated version. Fans even get to hear part of Genie’s signature song “Friend Like Me.”  For the remake, directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes), the fictional city of Agrabah will be created from global influences, including the Middle East, India and even China. Not only will the 1992 animated movie be a major influence, but the screenplay will go back to the classic Arabic folktales of One Thousand And One Nights.”
