Miley Cyrus is celebrating Hannah Montana turning 13 and she’s sharing sweet throwback photos on social media!

13-years ago, Hannah Montana starring Miley and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus made its debut on the Disney Channel.  Check out this super-cute photo (below) Miley posted on Instagram.  The caption read, “It’s the 13th anniversary of the first HM episode to air.”  This was the day Miley left for Los Angeles to officially begin filming the first season of the popular Disney show.  Miley writes, “Miley at the Nashville airport leaving for LA to become ‘Hannah Montana.’ ”

 

 

And that wasn’t the only photo Miley posted throughout the day – she began to upload photos on her Insta-story, making jokes about her appearance and how much she has changed since her Hannah days.  In case you’ve never seen Hannah Montana, it was about a girl named Hannah who lived a double life in L.A., teen by day, famous pop singer by night.

 

The first photo read, “Hannah watching the 2013 VMAs” (in reference to her ‘famous twerking moment’).

 

 

 

Miley also posted this gem which was captioned, “After Hannah’s psychic reading where she was told in 10 years she’d become a big stoner and wear nipple pasties on stage.”

 

 

As Miley reflected on her HM days, she says,“I liked being in the Disney universe ’cause I didn’t know anything else. I knew I was getting to live what I wanted to do.  I think now that I’m older now, I realize that’s a lot to put on a kid.  It’s a lot to put on a kid to have them have to get their makeup done and then also balance school and then also have me dress up in a wig. It’s a little Toddlers and Tiaras.”

 

 

 

Hannah Montana made its way to Disney in 2006, ran for 98 episodes and ended in 2011.
