If there’s one thing I love about Demi Lovato – it’s that she DOES NOT hold back in any shape, way or form!

Recently, a tabloid magazine had published an article about Demi, referring to her as ‘fuller figure.’  Demi, who has been very open and vocal about her past eating disorders, took to Instagram and her shared her thoughts on the issue.

On her Instagram Story, Demi writes,“Unlike the past, I’m not triggered, I’m not upset that someone wrote a headline about my ‘fuller figure.’  I’m angry that people think it’s okay to write headlines about people’s body shapes.  Especially a woman who has been so open about being in recovery from an eating disorder.  I’m not upset for myself but for anyone easily influenced by the diet culture.”

In a second Instagram Story, Demi continues, “Too many people today base their ideal body weight off of what OTHERS tell us we should look like or weigh.  Articles like these only contribute to that toxic way of thinking.  If you’re reading this: Don’t listen to negative diet culture talk.  You are more than a number on a scale.  And I am more than a headline about my body shape.”

To conclude, Demi also wrote, “Raising you voice, speaking your truth and spreading love and compassion, not hate.”

It was in 2017 Demi posted a side-by-side of what she used to look like in comparison to her look in 2017.  Demi captioned the photo, “Recovery is possible.”  At an early age, Demi suffered with bulimia nervosa and in her Youtube Documentary called Simply Complicated, she told her manager, “When I feel lonely, my heart feels hungry and then I end up binging and I don’t know how to figure out how to be alone.  One thing that I haven’t fully conquered is my eating disorder.”  Since leaving rehab, sources say Demi is happy, healthy and in a good place.  CHEERS, Demi and all the best!
