Drake Sends Kevin Durant Well Wishes: "Praying for Our Brother"

In case you missed game 5 of the NBA finals, Golden State forward Kevin Durant did play but it wasn’t long until he crumpled on the court, where he was seen holding his Achilles tendon, with the look of pain across his face.

When Kevin took a fall, Raptors fans cheered because this meant, Raptors had a chance at winning.  Fans then realized Kevin was injured and was helped off the court.  While Drake looked upset, players like Serge Ibaka, Kyle Lowry and Danny Green began to wave their arms and hands, in hopes to quiet the fans.  Those ‘cheers’ eventually turned into chants, with the crowd yelling ‘K.D.’  Unfortunately, for the Warriors, it too little too late!  Reacting to the crowd, Draymond Green says, “That’s crazy.  Come on … that’s classless.  For me, I’ve always witnessed Canadians being the nicest people that I’ve ever encountered.”

DeMarcus Cousins even went as far as calling us, the fans, ‘trash.’  In an interview following game 5, Cousins expressed, “So trash.  We’re all idolized as superstar athletes. We’re idolized for what we do between the lines and then once we lash out and do human type things, then we can sit back and …”

According to Billboard, “Durant will have an MRI to confirm if the Achilles tendon is indeed torn. Monday night was KD’s first game back since suffering a mysterious calf injury on May 8 during the Rockets series. The 30-year-old notched a quick 11 points prior to going down in the early portion of the second quarter.

Drake then decided to send some positive energy and well wishes to Kevin through Instagram.  In his post, it says, “Was tough for any of us to even enjoy that game tonight after seeing this transpire. Praying for our brother.  That’s my only concern tonight is your well being. ‘The game needs me’ is an understatement when it comes to 35. Please wish the best for this true warrior.”

But let’s be real here, Kevin shouldn’t have been playing … period.  He wasn’t ready!
