I still remember the day I received Christina Aguilera’s debut-studio album – I was in elementary school and it was a Christmas gift.  I also remember that was the Christmas I was super sick and to calm me down, I would listen to Christina’s album, over and over again.  She had so many amazing tracks on this album, ‘What A Girl Wants,’ ‘I Turn To You,’ ‘Love for All Seasons’ and the ONE song that made her into the superstar she is today, ‘Genie In A Bottle.’

I feel so incredibly old saying this but, Genie In A Bottle has officially turned 20-years old! I know, right?! It was Christina’s debut single and to celebrate, Christina posted a little somethin’ on Instagram.  She writes, “Hi lovies! Today marks 20 years since #GenieInABottle was released… got me feeling all types of emotional! At just 18 years old, I remember coming home from Japan and seeing that it had reached #1 on the Billboard charts and feeling so grateful and happy that you guys loved it as much as I did. Thank you thank you thank you for riding with me all these years. My fighters, I love you!”

Christina even added his beauty of a video – some BTS footage from the very start of her career.  She also explains her future goals (which, she eventually accomplished) and gives the backstory of how her debut album was recorded.
