Alessia Cara Drops New Single & Announces New EP!

Earlier this month, Alessia Cara wrote, “Been making myself useful these days so might have some things coming super soon! Just saying!”

A week later, Alessia delivered on that promised and not only drop a brand new record called Ready BUT she also announced that she will be releasing a new EP! She announced the news on Twitter, tweeting, “Caught the writing bug out of the blue and made an EP.  It’s called This Summer.  I’ll be releasing a new track every couple of weeks until it’s release.”

During a fan Q&A, Alessia was asked about the writing process behind Ready and explains, “Wrote it in the shower then brought it to Jon a few days later and produced it.”

And when she was asked about her new EP and if whether or not it’ll be told like a story, Alessia says, “It’s different little stories or situations I’ve collected and magnified.”

It’s been exactly eight months since Alessia dropped her sophomore album, The Pains of Growing and I don’t know about you but I’m super excited about her new project.  Alessia’s new EP called This Summer and it’s set to drop on September 6!
