Toronto-born singer and songwriter JP Saxe is this month’s ‘One To Watch’ and has a new single out, it’s called The Few Things.

Released last year, The Few Things is considered to be JP’s breakout single and has since accumulated over 50 million streams.  With the major success behind his single, it lead to his first ever headlining tour and a label deal with Arista Records.

According to a press release, “‘The Few Things’ explores similar themes of heartbreak following a sudden breakup.”  JP recalls, “I spent a couple of days after my first real heartbreak surprisingly okay. Then I went to a concert at the Roxy in LA, not anticipating that my ex was also going to be there and she was – and we didn’t interact in any way. When I got home that night, I was no longer okay. A TED Talk and a few too many moments of self-destructive nostalgia later, I wrote ‘Same Room.’”

 

 

 

 

According to Billboard, JP’s follow-up single is, ” A very real representation of that awkward post-relationship moment, when both parties are still vulnerable.  It’s a fragile situation, and JP Saxe captures it perfect with his delicate vocals and instrumentation” and Flaunt Magazine calls JP’s music, “deliberate and detailed.”
