Khalid surprised thousands of fans during his show at London’s O2 Arena when he brought out Ed Sheeran to perform ‘Beautiful People’ together for the first time.

The smash hit is off Ed’s No.6 Collaboration album that was released earlier this summer.

While Ed recently wrapped up his Divide Tour, which was a two-plus-year-tour, Khalid kicked off the European leg of his tour, Free Spirit World Tour. 

This performance comes as a HUGE surprise considering Ed announced he was taking an 18-month break from music altogether.

In an Instagram post, Ed says, “What a wild ride this Divide tour has been. The whole process of writing the album starting in 2015, then recording it in 2016, promoting it, setting out on the road to play it for all of you guys. It’s so weird to put it to bed and move on.  The Divide tour – 2017 -2019. Officially the biggest tour of all time, so weird to say that, and we survived it!”

Since then, Ed has dropped  a video with Stormzy for their ‘Take Me Back to London’ collaboration, and now he’s popped up onstage with Khalid in London – something tells me Ed won’t be going very far after all!
