It’s been two years since Harry Styles released his self-titled, solo-debut album and after months of teasing fans, Harry has officially dropped a new single AND video!  Harry’s new single is called Lights Up.

Talking to Rolling Stone back in August, Harry did explain that ‘turning on and turning up is all part of his creative process,’ “We’d do mushrooms, lie down on the grass, and listen to Paul McCartney’s ‘Ram’ in the sunshine.  We’d just turn the speakers into the yard.”  What about 1D? When asked by Rolling Stone if Harry sees his former boyband as ‘over,’ he says, “I don’t know.  I don’t think I’d ever say I’d never do it again, because I don’t feel that way. If there’s a time when we all really want to do it, that’s the only time for us to do it, because I don’t think it should be about anything else other than the fact that we’re all like, ‘Hey, this was really fun. We should do this again.’ But until that time, I feel like I’m really enjoying making music and experimenting. I enjoy making music this way too much to see myself doing a full switch, to go back and do that again. Because I also think if we went back to doing things the same way, it wouldn’t be the same, anyway.”

And according to Billboard, “‘Lights Up’ is believed to be the first off of Styles’ as-yet-unnamed sophomore album.”

Harry may have been busy promoting his new record / music but that didn’t stop him from being super thoughtful to a fan over Twitter.  Yesterday was #WorldMentalHealthDay and you can say this fan was overly excited for Harry’s new music.  The fan tweeted, “I guess therapy can wait … HS2 and tour can’t.”  Harry tweeted back, “Go to therapy.  It’s important.  I’ll wait for you.”
