Demi Lovato Reveals Name of New Single, Written & Recorded Days Before Her Overdose!

In a new interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Demi Lovato is opening up about performing at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards and reveals the title of her new single.

Demi will perform her new single at the GRAMMYs, making this her first public performance in over a year.  The song is called ‘Anyone’ and according to Demi, ‘it was written and recorded days before her overdose in July of 2018.  Demi tells Zane, “I wish I could go back in time and help that version of myself.  If I ever come back, I want to sing this song.  I almost listen back and hear these lyrics as a cry for help.  And you kind of listen back to it and you kind of think, how did nobody listen to this song and think, ‘Let’s help this girl?'”

Demi continues, “I was recording it in a state of mind where I felt I was okay, but clearly I wasn’t.  I even listen back to it and I’m like, ‘Gosh, I wish I could go back in time and help that version of myself.’”

But wait, there’s more – Demi told Zane to expect to hear more from her throughout 2020.  She’s currently working on a new album and she says, “[“Anyone”] is only telling a fraction of my story, but it’s still a little bit, and it’s enough to show the world where I’ve been. … With the next song that I have coming out, I think I tell more of the story.  It’s going to be a big year and I feel the momentum.  I feel the excitement, and I’m ready for it.”

In addition, Demi will sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in Miami next month.
