As of March 11th, there has been a total of 103 cases of COVID-19 across Canada…42 in Ontario, 39 in B.C. and 14 in Alberta (just to name a few).

 

 

 

Due to the many health concerns surrounding COVID-19, major music festivals have all been affected – either cancelled or postponed.

 

  • SXSW Conference & Festivals: Austin, TX, March 13–22
  • World Tour Bushfire Relief Concert: Melbourne, Australia, March 13
  • Ultra Music Festival: Miami, FL, March 20–22
  • Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival: Indio, CA, April 10–12 and 17–19
  • Stagecoach Festival: Indio, CA, April 24–26
  • Juno Awards 2020
  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Induction Ceremony

 

In addition, the 2020 season for the NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS also have been suspended.

A statement was made last night on the behalf of the NBA, suspending their 2020 season until further notice.

 

 

The NHL will pause their 2019-2020 season, beginning with tonight’s game.

It was announced not too long ago the MLB will ‘suspend spring training,’ with a delay at ‘the beginning of the regular season.’

 

 

Also, the MLS has suspended their season for 30 days.
