The current global health crisis, Covid-19/Coronavirus has had a negative impact on restaurants all across the GTA as many have had to turn to takeout-only businesses and in many cases shut down all together.

Ira works at a small restaurant in the city and wrote this to the show:

As someone that works in a small restaurant. I can assure you we are taking all the precautions in the kitchen. In the front of house. Everywhere that we can. Constant hand washing. Sanitization. Extra cleaning of cookware. I can tell you lots of places are doing the same. People for the most part want to keep other people safe and be cautious and obviously it’s a hard time for food service businesses right now. If you can get out of your head about it, please order something to support. Or even get a gift card to support places

I work at Sunny Morning breakfast and lunch in Oakville. Off ford drive. We’re one of four small locations across the GTA. We’re staying open for takeout and delivery to at least try and make some business and give a few hours to our back of house staff.
