Following the death of George Floyd, citizens throughout the US and around the world have been protesting against police brutality against the black community.

Among those walking the front-lines and calling for justice are celebrities like Ariana Grande, Halsey, Machine Gun Kelly and more. Thousands of protestors have already been arrested and celebs are stepping in, showing support through their social platforms and donating to various Black Lives Matter organizations.

It’s been reported that Disney has donated a total of $5 million.

 

 

Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, posted a joint statement on their Instagram pages, and have donated $200,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Seth Rogen along with the Safdie Brothers began a chain of donations – they matched a fan donation of $50 to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

 

 

Colin Kaepernick officially announced his organization, Know Your Rights Campaign and has set up a legal defense fund – he’s encouraging everyone to donate.

Reports suggest Floyd Mayweather has offered to pay for all funeral costs for George Floyd.
