Looks like Kyle Lowry’s first year with the Heat didn’t go as planned.  After nine seasons, Kyle left Toronto last summer to join Miami in a high-profile sign and trade, and has called his first year a ‘waste.’

The Heat fell 100-96 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Boston Celtics.  Throughout the playoffs, Kyle was dealing with a hamstring injury, which caused him to miss some games.  The games he did play, Kyle averaged 7.8 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Following the Game 7 loss, Kyle told reporters, “You don’t know how many more opportunities you will have to get back to this, and so for me personally, honestly, it was a waste of a year. I only play to win championships. So it was fun, and I appreciate the guys, my teammates and I appreciate the opportunity but for me, it was like a waste of a year. You’re not playing for a championship. You’re not winning a championship, it was a waste of a year.”
