JONNY

After smuggling dogs into Australia, Johnny Depp’s pups must go back to California or they face death.

Who knew Yorkies could be so harmful?! Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard smuggled dogs Boo and Pistol into Queensland, Australia on a private jet without undergoing proper quarantine or obtaining permits. They got busted when a dog groomer posted photos of the dogs, and now Johnny and Amber are paying the price.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce claims that wild dogs are killing up to 40 sheep a night in Aussie, but we doubt Captain Jack Sparrow’s little Yorkshire terrier’s are actually going to leave their mansion and murder some sheep in the middle of the night.

Regardless, Joyce isn’t budging. He’s taking the case very seriously, and expects Depp to follow the rules he’s putting into place. In a recent interview he said  “If we start letting movie stars – even though they’ve been the ‘sexiest man alive’ twice – to come into our nation, then why don’t we just break the laws for everybody? It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States.” His agricultural ministry website then made a statement that “The dogs have been ordered into quarantine and the owners have been advised the dogs must be exported within 72 hours.”

Since the news broke, a petition was made to save the dogs – and it obtained over 5000 signatures by the end of the day! “Have a heart Barnaby! Don’t kill these cute puppies,” a woman wrote.

Check out some of the press conference surrounding the issue:

As of now, the agriculture ministry has gotten word that plans are being made for the dogs to be shipped back to the U.S by Saturday.
