We constantly fill your feed with Save Our Scruff updates because WE LOVE THEM, but if you still don’t know… Save Our Scruff is an organization based out of Toronto, created by Laura Bye. Save Our Scruff focuses on rescuing and rehoming dogs in need into loving homes here in Toronto and the GTA.

Fostering a dog is also very important and it is one of the things that makes Save Our Scruff so successful. PLEASE consider opening up your home to one of our pups. Without you, we cannot take in pups that are in need. Without you, we cannot save lives. Fostering saves lives. PLEASE get involved.

If you’re interested in adopting or fostering a dog, Save Our Scruff has a ton of pups that need homes! Here are some cuties you can rescue.

Meet LEO! If you couldn’t tell, this guy is a chihuahua! He weighs 10lbs and is from California! He’s about 10 years old with lots of pep in his step. He has tons of energy when playing and on walks but also loves to snuggled in bed while being showered with affection. He needs help learning basic commands and has slight separation anxiety. He is currently in a Toronto foster where he lives with a few chihuahuas with different temperaments. He growls and chases cats! He is very adaptable and will adjust to a home willing to show him love.

Meet SHEENA! She’s super up for anything and just enjoys being with her human. She loves other dogs and being social. She would do best in a home with another dog as she has separation anxiety.

Meet MAGS! She came to us from the Dominican! Mags is roughly 2 and weighs in at about 45lbs. As we get to know her, she is super sweet and more of a observer type. She is just coming out of her shell and we are excited for what comes next! She is dog and cat friendly! She’s being fostered in Toronto and is up for ADOPTION!

Meet LOLA! She just arrived and is already stealing hearts. She was a sac tossed dog meaning she was alienated from her litter and left to fend for herself. She made it. She’s super happy to be here and likes to fill her low-energy days with cuddles and KITTIES! She loves them more than anything in the world (if they will love her back) She grew up around street cats and would often be found with them under her chin, protecting them. She’s roughly 1 and about 35lbs. She’s good with dogs, kids and as already discussed, her favourite, cats.

Meet ARLO! He has a hard time with mornings or at least sun rises. He’s settling in very nicely! His foster has begun working with him and sees HUGE opportunity for advancement! ARLO is super smart which shows in his behaviour changes after few corrections. He’s already tugging less on his leash and learning sit! Keep up the good work! He is being fostered in Toronto! He is up for ADOPTION!
