The Snapchat God himself, DJ Khaled has released his highly anticipated new album Grateful!

Grateful features, ‘Shining’, Khaled’s mega-collaboration with Beyonce and JAY-Z (who just recently welcomed twins!)

It also features the single, ‘I’m the One’ featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne and Quavo of Migos.

‘I’m the One’ marked Khaled’s first ever #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Khaled spoke with Billboard and revealed how the mega collaboration came about, saying that he went to Bieber’s home to play the track and Justin agreed to do the song. Then, he hit up Chance the Rapper in Florida and rented some studio time to record it with Quavo.

Lastly, he called his buddy and frequent collaborator Lil Wayne to join in on the record; the two have previously teamed up on ‘We Takin Over’, ‘I’m On One’ and ‘Welcome to my Hood’ to name a few.

The always persistent DJ also links up with Drake on the track, ‘To the Max’.

Khaled documented on Instagram his pursuit of the ‘Drake vocals’ for the record.

Most recently, Khaled released the track, ‘Wild Thoughts’ featuring Rihanna and Bryston Tiller.

The song features a sample of Carlos Santana’s 1999 hit, ‘Maria Maria’.

Grateful also features other standout tracks like ‘Nobody’ with Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj which starts off sounding like it could be sung in a church, that is until the beat kicks in and Nicki starts spitting.

Calvin Harris also helps produce a record called ‘Don’t Quit’ that features Travis Scott and Jeremih; the song sounds very similar to Calvin’s own record, ‘Slide’.

Grateful features quite a bit of ‘mumble’ rap and autotune if that’s your thing with features from Future, Travis Scott, PartyNextDoor and Migos, but the sound of each track is diverse enough to allow you to enjoy something different with each play.

The album his executive produced by Khaled’s son, Asahd. Take a listen to Grateful below and let us know what some of your favourite tracks are!
