The song will serve as the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album Digital Distortion. 

After a fan reached out to Iggy inquiring about the single, Iggy responded with a clip of her in her bathroom mirror with the song playing in the background.

In a recent interview, Iggy described “Team” as “20% meaningful, 70% bop & 10% ratchet”.
