Guess what 90’s classic is getting a remake? CLUELESS!!!

Clueless first came into our lives back in 1995 and starred Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz as well as Stacey Dash, Paul Rudd, Brittany Murphy, Dan Hedaya, Breckin Meyer and Jeremy Sisto.

According to Variety, “Paramount Pictures is developing a remake of its 1995 comedy with ‘Girls Trip’ writer Tracy Oliver producing.  Marquita Robinson, a story editor and writer on the Netflix comedy series ‘GLOW’ has been hired to write the script.”

The original Clueless was based on Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’ novel, released in 1815.  Alicia (who plays the main character, Cher) takes on the Emma Woodhouse character while Paul Rudd (Josh) plays the character of George Knightley.

Who knows – maybe some of the original cast members might turn up in the upcoming film.

And if you’re eager to see anything Clueless related (and you’re also willing to take a trip to New York), Clueless, The Musical is taking over a live stage and will lead with Dove Cameron as Cher.
