Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Are Engaged!!!

Let’s be real – we KNEW this day was coming!

Alex Rodriguez asked Jennifer Lopez for her hand in marriage and she said … YES!!

Alex, who posted the same ring photo on his Instagram with the caption, “She said yes,” also posted a ‘Soulmate’ definition on Instastory.  It reads, “A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you.  No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself.  A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be.”

Jlo and Alex have been dating since February 2017.  While on The Ellen Show, Jen told Ellen, “I was having lunch somewhere and I saw him as he passed by.  Afterwards I went outside and for some reason I felt like tapping him on the shoulder.”  Following their run-in, Jen told Ellen he ‘eventually’ reached out and asked her on a date, “He texted me, said, ‘Let’s go out to dinner,’ and I said, ‘OK.’ We had a nice dinner.”

During the Shark Tank season nine premiere, Alex told Entertainment Tonight, “I think we’re just best friends.  We just love spending time together. Our kids love each other, so it’s a good thing.  It’s what it’s all about.  It’s a good time for us and it’s great to be supportive and loving towards each other.”

This will be Jen’s fifth engagement.  From 1997 – 1998, Jen married Ojani Noa, which lasted one year.  From 2001 – 2003, Jen was Chris Judd who was also her backup dancer then, she was with Ben Affleck in 2002 and called it quits (and their engagement) in 2004.  Soon after, she married Marc Anthony within the same year and in 2014, divorced.  Jen and Anthony also share twins Max and Emme.  Alex, who has two daughters of his own, Natasha and Ella, was married from 2002 to 2008 to Cynthia Scurtis.

Jen and Alex already seem like one big happy family.  Even on their tropical vacation, they seem so in love and I can’t stop smiling (and staring at her ring).
