Who else is excited about this?? It was revealed earlier in the week Selena Gomez will be performing live during the 2019 American Music Awards, making this her first televised performance in two years!

Billboard was one of the first to tease Selena’s performance, tweeting, “2014, 2015, 2017, 2019,” all the year’s she has attended the AMAs.

 

 

 

The official Instagram and Twitter account for the AMAs later confirmed the news, “The world television premiere of Selena Gomez’s new music is happening LIVE at the AMAs on Nov. 24th!”

 

 

 

 

Since Selena’s last appearance at the AMAs, she’s had to deal with health-related issues, a kidney transplant, personal struggles and later decided to step away from the spotlight until this year.  It was during her acceptance speech at the 2016 AMAs Selena had almost everyone in tears.  Selena shared, “I had to stop because I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside.  I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down.  I don’t want to see your bodies on Instagram. I want to see what’s in here [holds chest].  I’m not trying to get validation nor do I need it anymore. All I can say from the bottom of my heart is I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to share what I love every single day with people that I love. I have to say thank you so much to my fans because you guys are so damn loyal and I don’t know what I did to deserve you.  If you are broken you do not have to stay broken.  If that’s anything whether you respect me or not that’s one thing you should know about me. And then in 2017, Selena performed ‘Wolves,’ making it her last appearance at the AMAs, until now.
