The Distillery District is going to look a little different this year around Christmas. It’s always been a holiday staple across the GTA, the province and the country as people usually travel from all over to experience the Christmas season in one of the most Christmas-y places in the country during the winter months.

But with COVID cases on the rise and more talks about an “inevitable second wave”, the city has decided it’s best to put the Christmas Market on hold this year for public safety.

But don’t panic! In it’s place, they announced a “Winter Village” in the same location that will have some of the key, decorative features from the Christmas Market; including the big tree, lights and festive music.

So, though you may not be getting the full experience, you can still take your holiday Instagram pics.
