It’s time we crush COVID-19, Canada! As we approach the one year anniversary of Toronto’s lockdown, cyclists from around the world are getting on their bikes for a 24-hour virtual cycling marathon to raise funds to support community mental care at Michael Garron Hospital.  This year’s ride is focused on the mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement Mayor John Tory says, “As we mark the one-year anniversary of the pandemic, we are more aware than ever of the importance of mental health support and services. Having access to this type of support is not only necessary but can help save lives. I want to thank everyone participating in the CRUSH COVID campaign for all of their effort in supporting the community and Michael Garron Hospital.  I look forward to joining all of the virtual riders as they embark on their ride this Friday. Thank you to everyone who is taking part in this incredible effort, and the many more who will show their support.”
