The only way you’ll see Adele at the Super Bowl in Houston next year is if she’s watching the game in the stands.

While performing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, the ‘Hello’ singer addressed rumours that she would be performing at half time of the 2017 Super Bowl.

She said, “First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no.”

The NFL released a statement saying that they never extended an offer to Adele,

“The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele. We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time.”

The big game takes place on February 5th, 2017 at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

Last year, Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars performed during half time, you can check out that performance HERE.
