LISTEN: Roz & Mocha Speak to the Taylor Swift Lookalike Who's Fighting Back Against Online Bullies

Wow!! Keitra Jane gained popularity online after fans noticed she’s a Taylor Swift doppelgänger, but the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, and Keitra was soon bullied for it. They called her the ‘fatter Taylor Swift’, but she’s fighting back against online bullies!

She joined Roz & Mocha to chat about her new found fame, body positivity and loving yourself!

Keitra explained to Roz & Mocha, “when I first started getting kind of popular on Instagram people would say really nice things like ‘I want your body’ and stuff, and it was cool, but I didn’t think it was very body positive. As I shared with many sources, I struggled with body dismorphia, and I believe in body positivity.”

Soon after, the 21 year old played Taylor in Alex Boye’s music video for the song ‘African Hipster’, and the comments quickly turned hateful.

“After I did the music video, I started getting comments saying ‘go starve yourself again and you like a fatter version of Taylor Swift.”

Internet bullying contributes to disordered eating. People need to understand that nothing on the internet goes unnoticed, and when you publicize your comments or suggestions you aren't just writing on a wall, you're writing to a real person. Jane is shaking off the haters, and responded with a powerful post in response to the hateful comment!

“Internet bullying contributes to disordered eating. People need to understand that nothing on the internet goes unnoticed, and when you publicize your comments or suggestions you aren’t just writing on a wall, you’re writing to a real person,” Jane wrote on Instagram on January 7.
